Waqas Ahmed – Pakistan

Waqas Ahmed  is a Pakistani first-class cricketer who plays for Lahore.  He is primarily an opening bowler and he is very quick and who is also a handy lower order batsman.He was the leading wicket-taker for Lahore Whites in the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, with 52 dismissals in nine matches averaging a fantastic 13.40 per wicket. In his career to date Waqas has 211 victims at an average of 24 each a testament to his consistency over the seasons, he currently plays for the Northern Franchise in Pakistan and has already completed 5 1st class games since October of 2020. Waqas came to the UK in 2018 to play for Methley C.C. in the powerful Bradford League he took 43 wickets at just 19 each plus another 12 in the cup competition in a very successful 1st season in the UK. Domestic commitments have prevented him from returning but now he is keen for another trip to the UK for 2022. Waqas is rapid quick and can bat  he has his ECB L2 Certificate and for any club looking for his type he is an outstanding pick.
