Stuart Els – South Africa – UK RESIDENT

Stuart is a young batting all rounder from South Western Districts in South Africa, he is attached to the Border Province and has now played 3 games in the senior 1st class team. In November of 2020 Stuart emigrated to the UK by using his UK Ancestry Visa and has settled in Manchester. He has an impressive CV coming through School and the famous Selbourne College.Following an impressive u13 cricket week, Stuart was awarded a cricket scholarship to attend Selborne College. At aged 15, Stuart represented the Selborne College 1st team. He made an immediate impact scoring 4 hundreds. Stuart represented Border for six consecutive years from 2014 to 2019 representing Border u15, u17 and u19.
Highlights of his high school career was amassing 1215 runs in his final season (2019) for the school. He holds the highest individual score by a school boy in the country for the 2019 calendar year, 203, and is the first Selbornian to ever score 200+ in a 50 over match.

Stuart was selected to tour Sri Lanka with the Selborne 1st cricket team in 2017. He had a great tour scoring 162 against a Sri Lanka u18 side in Dambulla.

In 2021 Stuart is playing for Enfield C.C. in the Very Strong Lancashire League and to date he has scored  552 runs averaging an impressive 35.5 Stu is only a part time off spinner but he has also contributed with a dozen wickets at 24 each in what is a very promising debut season in the UK

Its clear Stuart is a fine young player and with his UK RESIDENCY and good uk stats he is certain to be very popular for 2022
