Renaldo Meyer is a big hearted fast bowling all rounder, originally from Cape Town, South Africa. He is also a handy left-handed lower order Batsman that will dig in graft for his runs. Primarily an opening bowler of course Meyer is sharp and gets good movement and lift. Meyers background is through club cricket most recently the famous Victoria Cricket Club in the Western Province Cricket League, a super strong standard.
He made his 1st class debut in 2017, after some stellar showings for Victoria C.C. the game against Border passed without incident and it represented a solid start for Renaldo, between then and 2019 he played 7 times for WP taking 12 wickets before making the move to South Western Districts for 19/20 season. The switch worked well for both parties as he collected 25 wickets at an average just over 29 in the 1st class competition and another 10 in the one day tournament at 25 each. With excellent bowling stats and several scores in the high 30s with the blade Renaldo is an ideal choice for a league looking for a player who can bowl quickly and chip in with the bat.
