Josh is now the established opening bowler for Rondebosch C.C. one of the Elite Clubs in the Cape Town 1st Grade Premier League, the team includes a host of Star Names such as Chris Cooke (Glamorgan), Charl Willoughby (Somerset), Neil Carter(Warwickshire), Martin Walters (Western Province) and Travis Townsend (Western Province) amongst others, now if you are opening the bowling in this team in front of guys like Willoughby and Carter then that says that you are indeed a very very good bowler. Josh has great pace and good skills moving the ball both ways off the seam and he has excellent stats over the last couple of season for the team. Clearly he is primarily a Strike Bowler but his batting is also decent and he does ok with the bat when called upon but with Walters, Cooke and Townsend – all huge run scorers – above him it’s not too often he gets a decent dig. Josh arrived in the UK in 2013 to play for Haxey C.C. in the Lincolnshire Premier League and had a terrific season snapping up 55 wickets at 18.83 each and also chipped in with over 300 runs averaging a shade over 20. It wasn’t a huge surprise when Haxey retained his services for 2014 and he  delivered the goods yet again leading the wicket taking charts for the whole league with 74 wickets at 10.83 each and scoring another 320 runs averaging 28 from just 15 innings. A change of scene for 2015 saw Josh at Cutthorpe C.C. in Derbyshire and he impressed yet again with 76 wickets at 14.65 each plus 408 runs averaging 31.28 Another season for Cutthorpe in 2016 saw Josh claim another 50 wickets at 18 each and top the wicket charts yet again this time in the Derbyshire Premier League and for 2017 Josh went to Chesterfield C.C. and yet again he delivered the goods with 58 wickets at an average of 18 each to top the league charts he also chipped in with the bat averaging 33 from 17 innings. Josh is now established as one of the best overseas amateurs on the circuit and he is certain to be very popular again in 2019.
